League Rules
- All games will be played at the All-Pro Skill Level (refer to Gameplay Settings, p. 35 of the Madden NFL 2002 players manual)
- All games will be played using 8 minute quarters
- Substitutions WR's for WR's, TE at TE or WR (but has to be 4wrs or more sets); and HB's and FB's are interchangeable. Defensive lineman anywhere on the Defensive line LB's for LB's CB and Safeties anywhere in the secondary.
- Roster Requirements: You must have 50 players on your roster at ALL TIMES.
- You can move the player that you will control on Defense at the start of the play anywhere you wish but he is the only player you can move manually. DL is not allowed to move this way.
- Don't use Bump and run every play exception is inside the 40-yard line you may since most D will play very tight man that close to the End zone.
- In the tradition of Keeping it real taking your QB and Dropping back more than 10 yards to pass is not realistic, and is not allowed you get a warning the First time, the second time you lose the Game. And after that you will be removed from the league.
- Line shifting is allowed. Using in game feature but you may also control one person and shift him one click either way
- Special Teams you cannot use the Punt Formation, or use the MLB or Safety position during FG/EXP formations to try to block coming right through the middle, as way to many blocks can be achieved with this method.
- On 4th down and short, you cannot use the Punt Formation to stop plays. PLAY IT STRAIGHT-UP!
- Owners are expected to run plays within a timely Manner winding the clock down to 10 to 15 seconds every play is not allowed except within the Final 2 minutes of the first Half or the Final 4 minutes of the Game then you may try to run out the Clock all other times the Ball should be Snap before you get down to 15 Second on the Play Clock.
Trades
- Making a trade after week six deadline (by dropping and picking up players) may constitute grounds for expulsion from the league.
7 Day Advance Games
- Every Monday night, between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m., EVERYONE is expected to log-in and upload the game results so that the league can advance to the next week. The IP address for the Commisioner (if it changes) will be sent via email prior to the log-in time. League play is expected to happen anytime before the log-in time each Monday.
- It is your job to arrange a time with your opponent, do not ask the league officials about their where-a-bouts.
- If you are going to be unavailable you must let the commissioner and your opponent know ahead of time.
- If an owner disappears for more then a week and fails to contact the commissioner, this will serve as grounds for expulsion from the league.
- In the case that only one owner is available, the other owner will be allowed to play the CPU if a substitute owner of equal or lesser record is not available.
- If two players fail to play their game, it will be simmed by the commissioner.
- TURN IN YOUR GAMES AS SOON AS YOU FINISH THEM- or if the league is not online as soon as you can.
